Congratulations to Alnisa Allgood, our newest Volunteer Rock Star!

Since 2004, Alnisa Allgood has been a presence at Olbrich Botanical Guardians, volunteering in the Schumacher Library and helping to make Olbrich's physical resources more accessible by creating an array of online resources. Not only has she helped by creating Wiki pages and updating links on the computer in the library, she has also helped her fellow volunteers by introducing a volunteer scheduling software. Since she started volunteering at Olbrich, she's given over 1500 hours of her time--absolutely outstanding!

"Alnisa truly is a Rock Star! She knows what we need even before we do and makes it happen," said Lynn Jacobson, Olbrich's Horticulture librarian.

Alnisa is also involved in dozens of other organizations, aiming to help make her community and the surrounding area better places to live. She founded MadTech, a consultancy dedicated to helping local "change-makers" stay at technology's leading edge and she has helped revive Madison Nonprofit Day, a skills-building and networking conference focused on the social good sector that brings together over 650 local and regional professionals.

"Alnisa is a talented entrepreneur and technology expert here in the community. When she started her work here at Olbrich, she was excited by the duties in the Schumacher Library and we had no idea how much she would be bringing to Olbrich," said Lynn Jacobson.

Keep up the amazing work Alnisa!
