For over four years, Deborah Jones has been volunteering at the Humane Society of Marathon County and in 2016 alone, she gave 350 hours of her time to the organization. During her time there, staff and other volunteers have noticed not only her dedication to the Humane Society, but also her positive interactions with everyone she encounters.
"I have known Deb for over four years," said Christa Blaubach, the Volunteer Coordinator at the Humane Society. "Both staff and other volunteers enjoy working with her not only as a volunteer but as a person. She is always there to offer a helping hand."
While volunteering at the Humane Society, Deb has increased her hours there each week, even scheduling entire mornings to come in and assist staff with morning tasks. "She's always a team player," Christa added.
The Humane Society of Marathon County works to build better communities for animals and humans alike by working to prevent cruelty to animals with the help of businesses and community organizations.
