In just four months, Harneet has put in over 200 hours at the YWVCA Wausau, something she's done by being always willing to take on any project that comes her way.
Harneet recently moved from India to the U.S. and her background in software engineering has helped her transition into her volunteer role, helping update the YWCA website and create their many program fliers to help with community outreach. And that's just the start--Harneet has also taken on the role of yoga instructor for the kids who come to the YWCA.
"I had an instant connection with Harneet from the moment I met her," said Laura Cynkar, the
Program & Facility Coordinator at the YWCA. "Her energy is alluring, people are drawn to her naturally. She's done an amazing job transitioning from India into her position here and she engages myself and others by bringing in her native food for us to try. We love it! Harneet is truly one-of-a-kind!"
