Jan 27, 2017

Mary Jo Russell is our newest Volunteer Rock Star! Congratulations Mary Jo!

Mary Jo dedicated herself to taking care of others during her career as a nurse but after she retired, her patients have been books, DVDs, and CDs instead of humans. For the past five years, she has given her talents and time to the La Crosse Public library, repairing innumerable scratched CDs and DVDs to return them to circulating condition.

The volunteer team and the employees at La Crosse Public Library all agree--Mary Jo is the epitome of a volunteer rock star due to her dedication and hard work. "We can rely on Mary Jo and she's got such a fantastic attitude that conveys she is genuinely happy to be here," said Heather Miller, volunteer coordinator at the library. "She cares about the library and everyone who comes in contact with her can see that."

Way to go, Mary Jo!
